Distracted by a four poster bed?

It’s spring in Australia which means it is time for sowing rather than sewing. While our latest creation may look like a comfy if rustic four poster bed, it’s not for sleeping in unless you are a tomato plant! And, Peter Rabbit and friends are certainly not welcome here, the chicken wire round the outside is to keep the rabbits out.

…is it just me or does it sound odd that the chicken wire keeps the rabbits out. I cannot imagine chickens keeping anything but a draught out…I must be tired 😉

Anyway, hopefully back to some quilting this weekend as well as sampling some of our fresh produce from our grandiose vege patch.

For the regular readers, the current granny’s garden count is 1 more flower 43 more hexagons completed bring it to about 200 hexagons in about a month.

Off to dinner now so signing out and wishing you a happy spring or autumn to you wherever you are.

About bertcollections

I began quilting, with the help of some friends, in 2005, and have been quilting ever since. In that time, I’ve completed several projects in a variety of styles and colour combinations. My approach to quilting generally doesn’t involve using a particular pattern. I tend to have a concept I want to bring to life, or find a fabric on sale somewhere that looks like it could be turned into something fun. As the photos in the 'Introductions' post show, my quilts cross a range of styles, but generally use some strong colours and shapes.
