QE2 – Quilters Escape Cowra Pit Stop

20131115-115320.jpg We left Yass early so were at Cowra by 830 which means the winner of the first guess the stop time was tied between A and I. Here’s my prize as proof at Olympic Park in Cowra.

Apparently this stop is famous for its roses too. From the lovely display at the moment it seems like a well deserved reputation. 20131115-115454.jpg

We were in Cowra before the shops opened but I have it on good authority that both Cowra Patchwork and the craft co-op shop are worth a stop when you wander through town as well.

Next stop…Bathurst NSW by 10:11.

About bertcollections

I began quilting, with the help of some friends, in 2005, and have been quilting ever since. In that time, I’ve completed several projects in a variety of styles and colour combinations. My approach to quilting generally doesn’t involve using a particular pattern. I tend to have a concept I want to bring to life, or find a fabric on sale somewhere that looks like it could be turned into something fun. As the photos in the 'Introductions' post show, my quilts cross a range of styles, but generally use some strong colours and shapes.
