QE3- Quilters Escape – Bathurst

20131115-131949.jpgNext stop Bathurst. Patchwork fabrics and notions country and naive-style at ‘The Home Patch’. I picked up some lovely scraps of wool felt for the neat quilt which is an appliqué project I wi get to.

Then we were off to the impressive ‘Bathurst Fabric and Trims’ which has all different styles of fabric many at good prices too. I was very restrained and only bought some ricrrac for the bear quilt as well.

We split up for lunch and stopped at piccolos cafe for a yummy toasted sandwich and a cuppa. Real food, real coffee and staff.

On the way back we stopped in at the Pussy Foot Shoe Boutique because it had a great selection of beautiful ladies shoes for all tastes.

We are rolling along with a happy, chatty buzz is emanating from the bus.

About bertcollections

I began quilting, with the help of some friends, in 2005, and have been quilting ever since. In that time, I’ve completed several projects in a variety of styles and colour combinations. My approach to quilting generally doesn’t involve using a particular pattern. I tend to have a concept I want to bring to life, or find a fabric on sale somewhere that looks like it could be turned into something fun. As the photos in the 'Introductions' post show, my quilts cross a range of styles, but generally use some strong colours and shapes.
